alessandro.eu
Ok, I took a new Titan to accompany my quadro k4000 (already instlled on my machine). Is there something that I shold be aware of before to install the Titan on the same machine? I'm wondering if there can be any conflict between the drivers of the gtx and the drivers of the quadro. Besides of that I don't know if the system will automatically recognise which card to use in order to perform the best.
Dimitris Tolios
Haven't faced a conflict yet. I've even tried W5000 + GTX Titan just fine. You put the Titan in, it will only be used by programs that can support more than one GPU for acceleration. Older Adobe for example will only use your primary card (the one with the monitors, the K4000 in your case). If it is VRay RT you will be using it for: Start Menu > Programs > Chaos Group > V-Ray RT Adv for 3ds Max > Select OpenCL devices for V-Ray RT Select just the GTX Titan if you want your Quadro to handle just the viewport, while the GTX renders. alessandro.eu
thank you Dimitris, I would like to test it with Lumion...hoping that it will recognise the card automatically
alessandro.eu
in vray rt, when I choose the device, the dialog box says: Failed to update the OpenCl devices to use and in max RT is just black in Lumion benchmark is still based on the quadro even if I set on the NVidia Control Panel to use the Titan for CUDA - GPU calculation for Lumion

alessandro.eu
I did, I don't know...the system sees the card (on the device manager and on NVidia Panel) but when I assign the card to a specific program it doesn't work. e. g. I assign gpu-cuda calculation to the titan for Lumion but the software still looks at the quadro. The only way to make it working for now is to plug the monitor directly to the card but this way I can only work with just a single card.
