Chris MacDonald
Has anybody worked with these yet? I used to use the old scene states to change things like sun position, and so on when rendering different cameras, until they were replaced. I can't seem to make any sense of the new State Sets really. No matter what I click, nothing seems to happen. The state sets window is always blank and white. Zdravko Barisic
Delete old states and set new ones? If it is an old scene, probably something changed, maybe even file name could affect it? You've switched from some older max to 2014? Right?
Chris MacDonald
The file was created in 2014
Scott Schroeder
Have you tried to add a new state set or new state? What happens when you hit the record button? They can be a bit tricky to pick up. This tut walks you through some of the basics of state sets if you want to take a look; http://www.workshop.mintviz.com/tutorials/controlling-lights-in-post-using-3ds-max-state-sets-and-adobe-after-effects/
Chris MacDonald
Never mind, I think max had a bug. The window was opening but displaying nothing inside, just white; no buttons or anything to click/select. I clicked "compositor view" and it all suddenly sprang into life and started working.
