gscarabel
Hi all, did anyone get this problem before? I converted an object to a vrayproxy and its geometry changed (see image below)
Devin Johnston
I've never seen that before, I'd start over and make sure that the object is converted to a single mesh before exporting it as a proxy.
gscarabel
Thanks, Devin. I've already done that, the object is a single mesh and not a group. I did the same process I usually do when it comes to create proxys and this is really the first time I have this kind of problem.
matthewgriswold
Try reset XForm after you combine the meshes.
gscarabel
Thanks, Matt for your suggestion but it didn't work.
Zdravko Barisic
Original mesh maybe had some displace modifier? Or displace by material? Or maybe some units issue?
gscarabel
Hi Zdravko. Thanks for the help. I don't think so, but I'm not sure. I didn't model it so I have to guess. Is there an easy way to check for what you're suggesting?
Zdravko Barisic
Go to the right command panel, and check the modifiers list, also you can do is "print screen" and post it here. Besides that, go to the material maps and see if some mat has displace map. OR...post the max file, just that, here, to let someone to check it, maybe easier? gscarabel
checked materials, modifiers and there's no issue with that. How can I upload my 3d model in here? I zipped it but can't find a way to post it, sorry. Should I insert a link to a dropbox folder maybe?
Zdravko Barisic
Dropbox or similar service, like https://mega.co.nz/ whatever. Be aware to include textures, but they are not so important for this issue, but who knows?
