Vray; Light Test

Hey, Stylez!

I think it's not clear where the light is coming from. You have to have in mind you have 2 light sources (so it seems): the ceiling and the windows. What you have here is a uniform lighting, and that takes depth away from the scene. Choose one source to be the main one (stronger) and give the scene a bit of contrast with it.

I think it looks better, now. You have more contrast. One thing DelfoZ mentioned and I second that is that you're using a conic light source (free points or omnis are conic). Choose a paralel one (direct). Also, low the ceiling light's intensity a bit, to have a more dramatic look. You might want to move your camera a tad to the left, in order to take the chair away from the middle of the scene.

the sofa seems modern and the table and chairs rustic...

is the sun, a free point or direct ? seems like a free point.

thanks for your C&Cs guys, i really do appreciate them - i wouldn't be able to better myself and my images with out u.

Where did all that light come from in the last render? It's washing out the wall that has the sunlight coming thru it. Seems strange to me. If anything that wall would have less direct lighting on it because of the direction of your shadows.

You should try exponential color mapping to get a handle on the bright spots. The whole scene seems overexposed to me now. The previous render lighting was much better in my opinion.

Tony, i agree with you completely, when i rendered this image i rendered it over night, and that was the result of changing a few parameters, but i've redone it once more, and soon i will have an update that i think is much much better :)

thnx again for all your C&Cs everyone!

The lighting is much improved in this one.

The floor has to much bump applied with the high shine. Try glossy reflections instead.

Your cabinets are not going to work. The doors are a part of the cabinet.

I would also consider going back to the red apples, the green ones a not very realistic.

I prefer the layout you have in this one. It just needs more work to look real. It looks like you spend alot of time at the evermotion site. All the furniture in your scene is from there.

well the point of this image was a lighting test with Vray, and since im not much of a modeler, i simply used the models found on the free stuff section on one of my favourite websites that has helped me in learning so much about 3D graphics, Evermotion.

thnx again evfryone for all ur C&Cs, i really appreciate them...i wouldnt be able to have done this image without em

thnx again
