Xref Objects - how to configure map paths?

Hi Every, simple question here.

When I merge files into the scene, my usual procedure is to hit shift+T to bring up asset manager, refresh, then highlight missing bitmaps and set path. Fast and awesome.

When importing Xrefs, however, you cannot do this, or pipette the geometry, so how do I set missing map paths for xref objects? I've tried configuring user paths too, no luck.

Thanks in advance guys.

Fixing the original xref file comes to mind. Besides, you should do that to begin with. That way if you ever have to xref that into another file you won't have to monkey around with fixing paths again.

If you use xref objects rather than xref file, you should be able to re-path missing maps from the xref in the master file as xref objects gives you a bit deeper control than xref file. But, as stated previously, this is a bad workflow.

Cheers guys, definitely I know that any xref files should have their paths in tact, but I was just after a way of doing it without having to close and open scenes - basically seems a bit weird that asset manager can see the bitmaps it needs, but won't let you browse for them.

Cheers for the link Salvador
