Boris Horosavin
I got this large and lazy model I imported from Revit (which I don't use, btw). It keeps freezing and crashing but somehow I managed to add textures and lanscaping to it. But now when I try to render it it just keeps crashing and giving me warnings like this for various objects. Does anyone know what might be causing this. I would really appreciate any help. I did erase some interior objects to try and make scene liter, but that can't be it, right? John Dollus
well, first step is to send the log to Chaos group as it says. Assuming you have already done that, create a vray diffuse material and use it as an override material and try that to find out if it is related to the materials or not. If it still has an error, create a new vray camera and try rendering from it instead to remove the possibility of a bad camera node. If it still has an error, delete your lights and create a simple dome light to find out if the lighting calcs are the source. render once without GI and then again with a simple GI setup like IR map set to low and LC. If it still has an error, then you start looking at the scene geometry. It's the part you have the least control over since you are getting the revit file from someone else so save it until last. report back on what you find out after running through this process of elimination. Zdravko Barisic
1. Turn off displacement> main tab, you multiscatter instead of displacement, or some other way, by scattering the proxys 2. Turn off filtering maps> main tab 3. Check memory usage, you already done this? 4. Turn on, filtering LC 5. Use some mat converter to convert all scene from AD mats to VR. Good luck!!!
