philippelamoureux
I've looked everywhere on Google and I can't find a good answer to my problem. It happened before, It disapeared, It came back...I dunno if it's a vray bug and what triggers it but it's driving me crazy. Here's a part of my render and how it ends up. The first phase of the render is normal, prepass 1,2,3 etc. but at the final step these strange colors appear. I've rendered the same scene yesterday and it worked fine. tonight I can't fix it no matter what settings I change. I'm using general settings I've found by watching making-of of similar scenes. (I'm new to vray). Please vray pros!!!, help me with this one lol!!! Thanks!
Nicolai Bongard
Double check that you have not locked your view to render something other than the vray camera. It seems you are rendering a front/top/side view instead of the vray camera.
Noise
I would suggest 2 things, check to make sure the geometry isn't duplicated and occupying the same space. The second is to create a new Max file and merge in the old scene - this usually sorts out any oddball problems that I have. I would suggest recreating the lighting and camera also. philippelamoureux
Ok guys! Yesterday before going to bed I changed one last setting and the problem disappeared. Under the irradiance map settings I unchecked show direct light (might have accidentely checked it earlier). Then my next render was fine. But the strange thing is, I put back the option ON to see if it would come back, and nope, it still renders fine....so I'm still not sure what it is! At least it's working....for now. RyderSK
It's strange, because what it seems to render looks like SamplerPass.
notamondayfan
It could be a network issue, and the maps aren't being picked up at render time? What network are you running?
cg_Butler
If you tick show samples in the IR does it reappear?
