Chris MacDonald
I'm trying to get a set of roads drawn up using splines, then putting an edit poly modifier (or extrude for that matter) on top to create geometry. The problem that I'm having is that everything but the roads is creating geometry, resulting in the inverse of what I want/need. A picture speaks a thousand words, see attached. I have checked all the splines to make sure they are all closed. The inner ones obviously are, otherwise they wouldn't fill. I've tried an extrude modifier instead of an edit poly, but it still treats the outer spline like an open spline. I've even tried reversing the spline. Chris MacDonald
Never mind, fixed it. Not sure what was causing it but it was the part to the top left. Once I deleted it, the whole thing filled correctly.
H A
Might be the splines in the top left crossing over each other.
akshayarora
Never mind, fixed it. Not sure what was causing it but it was the part to the top left. Once I deleted it, the whole thing filled correctly. Whenever , I faces this issue ,I use to move random vertices left-right just 2-5 mm and it fills the area.. Anyways cheers. Peter M. Gruhn
Agree, at the top left where the straight line connects two large radii I'm betting that one or both curves passed just outside the cutoff line.
