liorsturlesi
Hi guys, I'm trying to make a short animation for a camera in 3DMax+vray, but have difficulties using the vray physical camera with path deform modifier so it can trace some short path i did. The camera is very hard to align correctly and i don't understand why. For the path i used a CV Curve line. Any advises will be appreciated. What is the best way to make a path for animation using the Vray Psychical Camera ?? Thanks, Lior
John Dollus
Best way is to not use a path. A very zen like response but it's true
liorsturlesi
But if you have a movement not in a straight line how can you adjust it ?
shawnlim
If you want a movement not in straight line u can adjust with Trajectories and Track View-Curve editor, here the sample ..

Chris MacDonald
Keyframe it? Animation isn't my speciality.
Scott Schroeder
The best way to control it is to create a dummy helper and link your vray camera (camera + target, don't forget the target) to that dummy. Then use the dummy with a path constraint to your animation spline.

Hello, If I try that dummy, camera, and target are not aligned, dummy can follow path, but camera is far away from dummy... any idea? thanks! benjamincillo
Use the align tool the align the dummy to the camera. Thanks, I have tried alignig camera and targe to dummy, but then when dummy is linked to path constraint, camera target is always tantgential to path. Standar cameras doesnt have such problem...
