Chris MacDonald
Take the plans from your CAD package into photoshop and colour it there?
Corey Beaulieu
I would use Illustrator. It can read DWG's and fill the lines without needing to any create marquee selections.
Reitveld
I use Photoshop all the time for such renderings. It is a great tool. I've never got the hang of Illustrator, however I've seen folks produce nice work using that software also. Tip: Use your Dodge, Burn and Gradient tools upon your textures. Makes them stand out more. talens3d
For my 2D drawings, I use Photoshop. Check out my portfolio and you can see examples.
