TomD_Arch
Studio/Institution: PersonalGenre: Residential ExteriorSoftware: 3dsMax, Mental Ray, PhotoshopDescription: Did this for a friend that is trying to get work with a developer. He asked for no surrounding context and no more than 16 hours. I modeled from a few napkin sketches he gave me, rendered and did the post production in 17 hours. It's ok in my opinion. wondering what others think.

heni30
Only thing I would say is that there's a distracting blurring going on in the lower right corner. and the grass looks like plastic or leather
Ismael
Why did it take 17 hours, it does not seem overly complex? Did you model furniture too?
TomD_Arch
@George- I agree on both points. I know I messed-up the z-depth and applied it over the entire image, I should have brushed out the bottom corner as you noticed. And the grass really came down to decreasing the render time, but i should have done a better job with the area I modeled it in. @Ismael- There was a bit of back and forth developing the design and layout of all the elements, which I was doing on the fly. As I said all I had was a few cocktail napkin sketches to start with.
