adolfo
Hello, I,m planning on building a portable desktop computer, (Intel six core, 24G ram), and I,m wondering if any one knows which type of case do I need to fit everything in it, by having my monitors one at home an the other two at the office. Thank you!
Zdravko Barisic
http://www.ncix.com/detail/coolermaster-haf-xb-evo-atx-f0-91868.htm So, you are planing to bring your PC housejob, every day or once a week? If it is so, I would take care about desk, to make some helpers for cables, etc...to make pluging on/off more easy. Good luck! dmitriyyemelianenko
Hi, don't know exactly if it fits your needs, but maybe something like this: http://www.aerocool.us/ds/ds_black.html http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=333&area=en http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/chassis/prodigy-m http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/chassis/phenom-micro-atx They all are pretty compact, silent, good looking, and with nice cooling potential. If u are interested - there are a lot of reviews on each of them.
adolfo
Thank's Zdravko, Yes the idea is to take the computer home only the most bussy days, I already have a laptop but I dont have the performance of my current computer.
Tommy L
Shuttle XPC boxes are designed for gamers to carry round to their geeky friends house for a spot of zombie blasting and world domination, but are equally portable for arch-vis peeps. Portable being a loose term. You can shoehorn a 6 core in there, I have i7 3930's in 6 of them locked in a running battle against my AC.
heni30
You can have 2 suspended computers - then all you would have to carry would be the motherboard and a storage device. (the ribbon cables and the floppy drive would suggest this is an older pic but the concept still holds and it would make a great conversation piece) Zdravco - you said your language was perfectly phonetic but there's a big Z in front of a d in your name. Zdravko Barisic
^ hahahah, yes! It is real Z, like Z in Zoro or Zarra. So, the R is vocal, like in Rg Veda, egz. So, all the letters are sounds. numerobis
If you don't want to buy a (expensive) shuttle barebone with some proprietary mainboard for this few centimeters less you could look for something like this http://www.cooltek.de/en/cubes/coolcube-maxi/13/coolcube-maxi?c=107 I think you need at least 24x24cm for the board, because the smallest s2011 mainboards are normal microATX (ASRock X79 Extreme4-M, ASUS Rampage IV Gene)
heni30
In the back of my mind is a nagging feeling that bigger is cooler. I only have full tower machines. A micro case is not really THAT big and you could put it in a sturdy piece of rolling luggage to make transportation easier. .............and you'll keep those biceps in shape. Z - interesting music tastes - Colic and Napalm Death. Edited July 3, 2014 by heni30
jasonstewart
Bitfenix Prodigy M would be my choice. The only downside is that the cable routing sucks but that is basically the same for all the "cube" cases as far as I have seen.

Thats true, maybe its better to focus on making some cotton coffe bag or whatever for east transporting, and switching cables off/on, to make it more easy. PC case is not so weight, when you have proper lifting and carying. If you all PC parts, into smaller case, you will have 90-95% of regular weight. @george yeah, perhaps I listen all the music done by heart, by NP is just for memories on youth. My favorite ones, especiall for working hours.

Zdravko Barisic
I guess, to be with family all-together. I should do the same, perhaps.
