Msamir
I'm really considering going to this years academy day organised by state of art academy but wanted to know from the people who've been to the previous academy days if its worth it ?
RyderSK
Hi Mazen, I did for two past years. I don't think there is event much similar in scope and quality to this one, but for me (and my girlfriend) it was always very pleasant overall experience, because outside of the great presentations, the venue is 10 minutes by car next to Venice, city extremely impressive by itself, but boosted with maybe the best year of Architectural Bienalle this year (directed by Rem Koolhaas). If you decide to come, I do suggest to make it a 'mini'-vacation and have one day atleast for each of this (city alone + Bienalle). I know first year I went, even sprinting for 10 hours straight, I finished the exposition just so-so. All that together should leave you quite inspired for months after :- ). And there are many nice people to meet. I was very happy to see Bertrand, Peter and Lasse in life and be able to speak with them directly.
