Tom Bussey
I have just bought some work home and opened it up on 3dsmax 2013, for as long as I have been using max (2013/2014) I have been used to the transform locking to the last axis used, so if it the last movement was just in the x-axis, for example, I can then pick that object, at its edge, on a snap point, and it will still be locked to the x-axis, until I click the gizmo in another axis. Now I'm using my home computer, that function suddenly appears to be turned off. Where do I toggle this? Thanks.
Corey Beaulieu
Try Right-Clicking on your snaps icon and then switch to the "Options" tab. There should be a tick box for "Use Axis Constraints" I keep this on because I use the F5, F6, F7, and F8 shortcuts, but I would imagine it is the same in your case. Tom Bussey
That's the one! thanks. I'd forgotten about those F key functions too. I should get into the habit of using them
