Hi guys,

I'm having some really annoying reflection on the window of some other opening probably.

It happens in many of my interior renders...

Maybe the window in the other side of the space is reflecting.

How can i remove it, or avoid it from appearing on the glass ?

There is a vray dome with Hdri map lighting the interior space. No sun.

Attached the render. your help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Make sure your glass uses fresnel in the reflection parameters and don't go crazy with the reflection IOR (1.5 to 1.6).

Different glass and their IOR:

Glass 1.51714

Glass, Albite 1.4890

Glass, Crown 1.520

Glass, Crown, Zinc 1.517

Glass, Flint, Dense 1.66

Glass, Flint, Heaviest 1.89

Glass, Flint, Heavy 1.65548

Glass, Flint, Lanthanum 1.80

Glass, Flint, Light 1.58038

Glass, Flint, Medium 1.62725

After all is proper if the reflection persists as such, that is just the way it is. It means that the reflection is of higher intensity than the space behind the glass...

You can always take artistic license and render parts of the rendering individually. Put a white wall on the right side in front of the window causing the reflection you don't like - render just the reflecting glass area and paste in Photoshop.

Okay, this might be an easy one: Cover the opening of the window with a plane that matches the wall color. Right click and in the object properties uncheck Visible to Camera and Cast Shadows. Under V-Ray properties, uncheck Generate GI and Visible to GI. Leave Receive GI as checked.

In this way, the reflection will show what appears to be a solid white wall, but the window (if visible in the scene) will appear as normal. The GI from outside will still pass right through the plane - not affecting the quality of light and shadow in the room.
