RyanSpaulding
Hey all, first post showing anything that I've done. This is an unfinished version, I still have to do better grass and fix up some of the textures. It's all done in MicroStation (BLEH for the rendering part, AMAZING modeller tho) for my job so I wasn't able to 3DSMax it up... Problems I notice....A slight tiling of the concrete road (MS doesn't allow texture blending like Max does), tiling problems with the roof, chimney and pillars (it's the material they gave to me), also the windows are reflecting a teal color which was my sky color until PS. These things SHOULD be corrected by the final render on Monday. View was specified by the client. CC is all welcome. Anyways, they wanted a PR and NPR so here is both: PR: http://www.envision-graphics.net/images/wip_10_29_2004.jpg NPR: http://www.envision-graphics.net/images/wip_10_29_2004a.jpg
jysngltndz
ryan, npr is much better for me.. for the pr ,needs to emphasize more the depth of your image + entourage you have a wide foreground..

I wish I could change the angle myself. Unfortunately, it was client specified. That right side of the building is pretty large. I'm really having problems dealing with this MS renderer and creating a realistic look. Eventually, I plan to bring it into max and do some more work on it so I can actually put it in my portfolio. I dig the NPR look better myself...I think I'll feel that way for all my MS-only renders. -Ryan
