industry statistics needed

Howdy,

 

I remember a little banner add here at CGA afew months ago claiming 23% growth in visualization services etc in past 12 months, or something to that effect. Does anyone know where this statment came from?

 

Or alternatively can someone direct me to a similar report/market research source on the growth of the visualization market.

I believe I read an article about every branch of the business in a 3dworld about 4-6 months ago... Don't know any more anymore

Keep in mind that this article is written in reference to the software manufaturing market - not the studio. They mean that there will be a 23% increase in architecture and industrial design software products sold. Predicted increase in available revenue for service providers is completely different.

 

Look up the Ron Carelli report or the one by Peddie Assoc. They cost money but are widely used for business plans and investor reports.

Thanks for telling us about those reports. I'm sure they will come in handy for me too. Since you knew where to point us for that market research, would you by any chance know where to find a report that encompasses the entire Computer Graphics Industry worldwide? The Ron Carelli report looks very good, but if I'm reading the Website info correctly, it specializes in analyzing the animation branch of the CG tree. Would you know if there is a report available somewhere that takes into account ALL forms of computer graphics? If not, no problem. You've been a big help already. :ebiggrin:
