Graphite
Has anyone else noticed very blotchy renders using the new Vray? It seems none of my settings in previous scene files render to the quality they use to. I tried increasing sub divs. my noise threshold is set to .001 but nothing seems to work. (I'll post a test render when I get home), but its horribly frustrating. It seems to happen at its worse when using multiple vray sphere lights. Its almost as though its not collecting enough samples to create smooth shadows.... Horribly frustrating.
Scott Schroeder
I haven't run into any issue during our migration. Make sure you didn't accidentally check probabilistic lights in your settings. I've noticed that can really cause issues with certain lights and in certain cases.
Graphite
Thank you Scott, I'll definitely check it out.
Graphite
So; I was able to resolve the issue, It seems it was (mostly) user error. I didn't realize the drop downs in the GI, expand to "Expert", and the Light Bounces were set to 100, so I increased the bounce to 200, Also, I check the option you mentioned Scott and Indeed it was selected. Once all that was situated, problem solved. Check it out.
