hkahk
Hi there, My 4 month old Asus X79 Deluxe just crashed a few days ago and I had to take a P9X79 now as the deluxe wasn't available at that moment and I needed a fast exchange. Anyway the Asus P9X79 MB is setting my DRAM speed to 1333 although I have a Corsair Vengeance LP which is 1866. What do I need to change? I already updated to the latest Bios. > Ok I had to activate the XMP Setting in the BIOS. Now it works ;-) Beside that having an I7 4930k I was wondering if should use the Asus Optimal Bios Settings or just stay in normal mode? Thanks for your help! elipan
What exactly happened to your x79 deluxe? I have exactly the same board (and the back USB ports stop working randomly)
jasonstewart
Unless you want to overclock I would set XMP on and set the fan speeds if you have fans plugged into the onboard headers and leave it alone. Shouldn't be anything else you "need" to adjust.
hkahk
What exactly happened to your x79 deluxe? I have exactly the same board (and the back USB ports stop working randomly) Well it just died :-) I could not boot any more. I turned on the PC and it started for about 2sec then went off again and kept doing this over and over. Good luck with your board.
