Aaron Debalow has created a brilliant new version of his debris plugin (which doesnt just generate debris)

This plugin seems like it would benefit the Archvis community for external detailing and animated visuals. It generates incredibly detailed Brick walls with different brick types, logs twigs, bricks flocks of pigeons flying, loads of really really useful stuff for visuals.

My colleague showed me this just last week I think it was. Really cool plugin, shame I don't do enough Hollywood, post apocalyptic type shots to justify half the stuff in it; fun all the same though.

I have found the brick walls useful as well as the birds. especially the birds actually they add a nice background element to any cg shot ive tried them on.

I tested it out last night and the birds have a few standard mental ray (diffuse colors only) multitextures on them. So they do indeed look like gray pigeons. But not good for a close up as eyes, beak etc isn't there.

 

I imagine that we'll see some nice wood logs in a cozy cabin enviroment soonish.
