Problems with window glass

Hey,

im using 3ds max and vray. I'm not satisfied with the windows material and how the light is coming through the window. The background/outdoor image is not realistic with the indoor lighting and there isn't any bloom effect. Also the window material should reflect a bit. Any tips? :)

Thanks for your help!

"You see your reflection in glass because glass reflects light. Ordinary window glass reflects about 4% of the light incedent upon it.

You will notice that your reflection in a window is not as clear as the view beyond the window ... unless it is dark on the other side.

Technically, there are two reflections - one from each surface.

It is possible to treat glass with a thin film so that there is no reflection - or just manufacture the glass very carefully so that the reflection from the back surface destructively interferes with the reflection from the front adding to nothing."

The same scene except the parking lot billboard was replaced in one by a plain black board. On only one are reflections strong:

it seems you attached the outdoor image in Photoshop....if i was in you, i would check the glass if it's shelled. After that, i would check the glass material and pump up the FRESNEL IOR. After that i would check the VrayReflection render Pass until i see a good reflection on the glass. Then i would add the reflection pass and the outdoor image in photoshop, so there you would tweak a little bit the outdoor light. Normally it has to be more bright, the camera normally can't put at the right focus every object in the scene. In this case if you light up the outdoor, you'll gain something..
