Zdravko Barisic
Please look at these images: http://www.pillmaharam.com/projects/images/residential/Enlargements/east%20side-Studio%202.jpg http://www.nss-exteriors.com/images/work_41707_013.1.jpg Its about metal sheet walls with small pyramidal section. My question is: HOW would you make these walls, if they are crowded with openings? By polymodeling or using some displacement maps? Displacement maps can cause black holes in the end of faces? Justin Hunt
Depending on how much cladding is needed I tend to polymodel, although can make the scene poly heavy. For the opening just cut the edges and delete the opening. Displacement is lighter on the scene but can be heavy on the rendering. Some times the edges can muck up. You may have to uv-unwrap if you have complicated edges I recently did this one https://www.behance.net/gallery/18933709/Civic-Center-Refurbishment which was polly modeled. Zdravko Barisic
Yeah, I probably will end up with poly modeling. Thanks!
