Roodogg
Hi all. I approached this yesterday but still no idea how to do it. I have a complicated site plan which has been modeled flat, however it now needs correct levels adding with a strong gradient Nth>Sth I have separate objects for road , pavement / curb / Plot drives and gardens etc and have experimented with the FFD Box modifier. But it seems useless as the basic grid it gives you does not deliver enough control. If the seemingly not working 'Set Volume' option worked, it would be perfect. Ca'nt see any other way of doing it other than modelling it all again using spline with correct z dimensions. Does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks in advance. Nicolai Bongard
I would model the terrain first, then see what you can get out of the conform to surface function. Also, if you have railclone it has a similar option where you can select a surface the geometry will wrap onto, even if the spline is flat. Obviously it doesnt allways work perfectly, but then you would only have to tweak a bit instead of model everything again.
Tommy L
You could try the pathDeform modifier. It s abit tricky to get your head around.
