4K Screen Cursor Problem

hi all, im desperate here ive recently started using a 42" 4k tv as monitor. its running at 3840x2160@60hz. everything works fine, even my games run faster. text is very readable but for some reason some windows cursors like move and text select look squashed.

 

 

now here is the weird thing. when i take a screenshot, it looks fine when i take a photo of what i see, it looks squashed. which of course makes working in max a pain in my butt ive tried high dpi cursors but didnt work.

 

 

oh btw, crosshairs in games and autocad r totally fine. please help me

another very weird thing i just discovered is that when i run the magnifier, even at 100% it looks normal. when i close the magnifier, it becomes squashed again

Some of these 4K Tv's have an up-res option, to play in full screen media that it is only 2K or less. I don't think there is many software designed to that resolution yet.

all of the extra features r disabled such as super res. i think max isnt compatible with that resolution

mmmm i changed the resolution to 1080p and the cursors looks fine in max, so its definitely a problem of max layout with high resolutions. so another question.. is there any way of replacing original max cursors? i want to use higher res cursors.
