philippelamoureux
I'm using 3ds max 2015 and Vray 3.0 How do you guys visualize your materials in the viewport when they're complex, like a blend material? I'd like to adjust the uv mapping but If I can't see what i'm trying to adjust it's pretty tough. Do you guys just create a similar material with just the diffuse texture to uv map it and before rendering you apply the blend material? I guess it's a solution but i'm surprised there isn't a better way...unless there is one?? Thanks.
CliveG
I find the "TexmapPreview" in Neil Blevins Soulbourn script collection almost invaluable. I don't know if it'll preview everything but it's so useful you'll wonder how you did without it before. It'll also show how often the standard material previews are inaccurate. Hope it helps.
