Glass transparency

Hi guys,

Would you please help me to figure out what is wrong with my material settings....

You can see that on the left hand the light is OK, meaning, the light passes through the kind of light bulb (basically sphere #1), and after that the light passes through just a round glass shape (sphere #2).

But on the right hand i start getting a problem as soon as i add another glass sphere (sphere #3). Nothing is changed, i have only added 1 additional glass sphere.

I utilize only 1 glass material, and even the depth of refl/refractions set to as much as 40 does not solve the problem..

Please advise!12.jpg

What is your light setup?

I get what you are expecting when I use both a Vray Sphere and a Light Material with Direct Light ticked on.

All glass is shelled right?

The light setup consists of just Dome light with HDRI map and the Vray mesh light in light bulb.

In order to simulate the realistic light in this case i do not use any Vray Light Material.

Yeah, i checked the glass shell, it`s ok, no normal inverted.2.jpg

Actually i am trying to simulate the light not of the bulb itself, but of _spiral_ located inside the bulb, like it used to be some years ago.

And on my first picture you can see it is ok (on the left) but it is not ok (on the right) as soon as i start to add another glass sphere cover.

I have simplified the scene which means i have deleted all the details that might confuse anyone.

The only stuff left is - glass spheres, the glass bulb and a light source, just simple Vray Light.

Again, despite the fact that refl/refr. settings are ticked on and extremely leveled up, i get not what is expected - when the large sphere is added (by copying and scaling), the light seems not to get through, which is not physically accurate, since the glass material is transparent.
