ciurej41
Hello, I'm trying to render an exterior fly-through animation but I have a problem with pre calculating the irradiance map. I use light cache in fly-through mode and irradiance map in multiframe incremental mode. After pre-calculating the light cache and switching it to from file mode, the irradiance map takes around 30min. per each frame ! When I switched the light cache to single frame mode, Irradiance map calculates in 2.5 min. per frame. Why is the light cache from file causing the the irradiance map to take so much longer to calculate ? What am I doing wrong ?
Corey Beaulieu
I'm not why, but you don't have to pre calculate a light cache separately from your Irradiance. You should be able to do both at once using Fly-through and Multi-Frame Incremental. I've been using Use Camera Path lately and it has been pretty successful. May be worth checking out.
