hey guys

yesterday i was start with new scene like merging chair and table into it the magic is

overall file size is 3.11 mb and if i save chair one of them then file size will be 2.08 mb

apart from that i copy that chair 60 time into scene then how was this possible and i also check on compress on save

I don't know if I understand your question, but I will try:

 

When you instance an object, or proxy it for that matter, Max only has to think about the object once. After that, all it does is save new transform information about the instanced object as it has already loaded the geometry. This should help explain why a single chair can be one size and 0 instances not much more. It may take longer to redraw the scene or update the layer manager, but it isn't the same as having 60 copies in a single scene.

 

This is a conceptual understanding. I doubt that it is the exact way things work, but it is why we all suggest Instances and Proxies.

i know that thing about proxy because there is no mesh in it but same rule for geometry that i don't that why i post it

but i had to cross check with lower version because 2014 had low many issue
