Changing default settings in Vray

Is there any way to change the default startup settings so that when the program starts up without a file the settings can be different?

 

I know you can use presets but can you change, for example, the min shading rate to be 8 instead of 1 all the time. Like by revising an .ini file or something

Make a scene that has your render settings and possibly a camera and light combo you want, then go to my documents/3dsmaxdesign/scenes and save the file as maxstart.max. Every time you reset or make a new scene you it loads the maxstart file with the settings you saved there.
