Guest eddie57
When I click on text and try to Mtext edit the window that allows me to edit the text is not coming up. Anyone know how to get it back? Thanks Eddie I am using ADT2, I know it sucks, but thats all I have.
Ray
Not sure about ADT, but type cmddia in the command line and make sure it is set to 1.
TheAllusionisst
That little known setting can drive a guy crazy if it gets set to zero the first time you run into the problem
Ray
Hmm, I just set my cmddia to 0 in autocad 2004 and the mtext edit box still opened. Must be something else.
TheAllusionisst
I didn't think it affected that command, but commands for things like express tools layer manager, etc. will revert to the old command line interface. If you type ddedit does the dialogue box come up?
Guest eddie57
Guys I don't know what it was. I turn my pc off and went to lunch. When I came back and opened the file up the Mtext edit worked. Thanks nonetheless. I like that quote, "less is more". Does your girlfriend agree? Tell her it's the motion of the ocean not the size of the ship. Although some women want aircraft carriers. You all have a great week! Thanks Eddie
TheAllusionisst
She didn't buy it or the lable I put on the mirror that said "Warning objects may appear smaller than their actual size" !LOL OK, I reached my quota of self deprecation for the day. Take care and glad to hear your problem is resolved.
jwisherd
When ever acad starts acting funky or starts doing something it shouldnt, a restart is always the first thing I try. 90% of the time a restart will correct the problem.
