Need a model

Hello all. I was wondering if anyone knows of a website that offers large palm tree models. Not the basic florida palm tree. but one that you would find in say Hawaii or Aruba. Any help would be wonderfull.

Also, Vue Professional and Vue D'Esprit both come with plant generators (heck, that's pretty much what they specialize in...)

You need to go beyond 'a palmtree model'. Would a 50,000 poly model do? Maybe a 2-poly bitmap Xtree is needed, because there will be 750 of them and never seen close-up.

 

Figure the limits of what you need, how many you need and go with the simplest that will meet your needs.

Hey Guys. The palm tree is for the interior of a hotel lobby. Yes they will be seen pretty close up. I have looked at rpcs and other kinds of bitmap ideas, but none seem to look right. It doesn't matter if they are free or not. I just want something that looks right.

For a still?

 

You can place a cardboard cutout or relatively simple object to cast shadows and then matte in a good photo later.

 

Or, if you only have a single or few, buy a high-poly model.

 

Have you looked at the 'estore' on CGA (upper right of titlebar).
