Hi all

I have a scene where i want to mask the trees as per the attached example - these trees are behind the glass obviously and so far I am unable to have a render elemenrt that will enable me to mask and adjust it in post production - any ideas on how I can do this?

in terms of the glass - i have set it to 'all channels' on reflect/refract and i also gave an object ID of 1 to the trees and tried to add an objects ID render element - but no luck

Thanks Curtis - thats a great workaround but still curious if you can do it natively within the render elements all in the one pass

Thanks again, itll work should there be no other suggestions

Hide your Glass panes. Download a script called RenderMask. Select your trees and whatever else you need a mask for. Use script. Done. :)

Try to use MultimatteElement for MatID or Object ID masks creation in this case.
