philvanderloo
I'm trying to make an individual paver filled with grass that I can repeat in a pattern in a scene to make a driveway. Currently using Forest lite to apply grass to small holes but it's not working so great. Can anyone offer a better way to achieve this? A good video tutorial would be appreciated. Thanks Edited December 9, 2014 by philvanderloo
Corey Beaulieu
It looks like you are not using the Exclude Area function in Forest Pack. I have the Pro version so I am only guessing it is in the Lite version as well, but of you make a spline outline of the stonework, you can use the Areas menu, add your spline and switch the "include" tab (default) to "Exclude." There is usually a little bleed over, but not much if any. Sorry, no tutorial.
Scott Schroeder
Those are small enough that you can place the grass by hand. Attach it all, and make a proxy object out of it. Forest gets funky when you have small spaces and you need to fill it with grass. You either end up with overlap, or you need to make single blade grass objects. The only tutorial that comes close is this one:http://www.itoosoft.com/tutorials/tutorial_grass_edges.php Then if you wish, use rail clone to scatter it just like you would in the wood floor tutorial.
