Gary Ledgerwood
Studio/Institution: SelfGenre: Retail ExteriorSoftware: Sketchup, 3ds Max, PhotoshopDescription: I haven't shared anything in a while so I thought I would post this for some feedback. It is my first attempt at a snow scene. I wish that I had more time to pay attention to the small details like tracks in the snow, dirt on the windows and cars, etc. but this is meant as just a quick concept rendering for a client. heni30
Too much parking. And I'd tone down the parking stripes to make the foreground not stand out as much so that you eye focuses on the building.
Gary Ledgerwood
I agree about the stripes but the seeing the available parking is often very important when generating these views for prospective tenants. That is typically who I produce views for.
John Dollus
if the available parking is the focus, I'd try to make it look as attractive as possible. That would include proper snow removal to avoid lawsuits from slippery accidents. That lot looks dangerous.
Gary Ledgerwood
How about a non winter view?!
heni30
Looks better - now the store is the main focus. I would make curb and walks a little grayer - they kinda read like granite right now. I'd make the trees above the roof a little fuller. Sometimes a gappy tree can subconsciously read as being diseased (wife is a landscape architect) Edited December 10, 2014 by heni30
