vendelin
Hello, I have problem with shadows in interior scene. I put all type lights into the wood tube, but no shadows on ground, walls... I am using Vray Rhino, psych. cam., GI, IR map -4,-1; LC 800. Shadows and light enabled. I get shadow only with direct light, but unusable. Any tips? Thanks, Ondrej
siddharthkolte
First check is whether the scene is the real world scale as Vray calculations depend on that. Second check is that if you are using a spherical light that try reducing the radius to get the sharper shadows that you are expecting from this sort of scene. Thrid check if the shadow bias is set to some weird setting as it takes the base unit of the program and if it is set to meters the bias might be set to 0.1m which is super high so just adjust it to 0.
Corey Beaulieu
Is there a material in the blank space between you "tubes?" Are your "tubes" mapped or are they geometry? It looks like a transparent material between your tubes needs to have affect shadows turned on and then set to color+alpha, but I can be sure until I know more about the scene. Ky Lane
Light emitter too large to produce sharp shadows?
Chris MacDonald
You do have shadows/highlights. Light travels in a straight line, so if your light is where you've indicated it, how do you expect it to get out and into the room? Move the light down.
