siddharthkolte
Which renderer are you using...
siddharthkolte
If it is Mental ray from what I know the FG points(Photons) in the scene are too far apart for the Final gather to combine so it would be a good idea to increase the Rays per FG point. I usually set this value to 240.
heni30
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pak8wx7KNEA Can you post your settings? You'd see small exposed joists like that more in a residential context, probably not in a penthouse office.
John Dollus
on a design level, I'd replace the diaper chair with one of the others from that free model pack. It isn't appropriate for a corner office.
Corey Beaulieu
It looks like you need higher settings. Irradiance and light cache as well as higher subdivs on your lights. You probably also need to add skylight portals to help the light into the space. HDRI can cause a lot of noise if you are using one, so you might consider just using the vray lights and then the hdr image as your background. Otherwise you need to put your map into a dome light and boost the hell out of its subdivs.
mfured20
Also, if you are using vray3.0 or newer, the probabilistic lights can sometimes give funky effects like that. I tend to switch them off these days, until I can figure out how to use them better.

markraz
Noise is high frequency artifacts.. So you just remove them through settings. You can add a render pass of "sample rate" for reference... your objective is to remove as much red from the sample rate reference image as possible. Only leaving red on the outlines of objects and lighter blue everywhere else. This is done through a combination of tweaking "subdivisions" in three places 1. the materials editor 2. lights rollouts 3. vray image sampler. Don't be fooled by putting the setting higher.... sometimes lower is actually the way to go. It's is all dependent on "sample rate". It takes time but it's the best way. After a while you get a feel for how quirky vray is and you will set these automatically as you get more comfortable. another thing is turn off anti-aliasing filter Edited January 10, 2015 by markraz
