BBB3
Hi Folks, Just a small heads-up that I've written an extensive, layman-language guide to how to achieve a photographic final look in renders. See what you think and let me have your comments. Best, Bertrand

Ernest Burden III
Bertrand, Thank you for producing and sharing the piece. It is very well done, filled with reason and expertly explained. Your work is world-class. I particularly liked that you drew a distinction I have tried to make over the years--that 'photo-realism' and reality are two separate things. When you remove the mystique from the industry obsession with faking photographs, including bad ones made with poor lenses, you can then look at the tasks and techniques involved in a productive manner. You have done that, and in doing so, you have advanced the profession.

Corey Beaulieu
This is very clear-headed. Thanks or sharing. It has long been known that your results are fantastic, but now we can see that it stems from a very methodical and intelligently designed workflow, as well as, of course, your artistic abilities. Thanks.

Carlocki
It is very similar to the approach of Sannino on his book. Fotografia con Vray but your approach is also justified by tour renders.

nickcolavita
Absolutely unbelievable. This is by far the best set of explanations I have found on achieving photorealism in your render. Very well done.
Zdravko Barisic
Thanks Bertrand, this is fantastic! +1! I normally use a value of 2 pixels for 4K renders, which should be cranked up as the resolution increases What value would you recommend for 2K or 3K renders? Thanks in advance!
