RyderSK
I wasn't big fan of close-looped systems, mainly because outside of looking like trash, they're rather loud while providing negligible performance advantage over high quality air cooler. Example in Corsair i100 vs Noctua NH-D series. But according to few reviews of new FractalDesign system (a brand I personally love for sleek aesthetique and great value), my opinion changed. This one seems both very powerful, while staying silent even at top performance. Might be buying one to test it and thought of putting it here, if for nothing, at least it might replace those horrible Corsairs I see you guys trying to put into builds :- ) http://www.kitguru.net/components/cooling/henry-butt/fractal-design-kelvin-s36-360mm-liquid-cpu-cooler-review/
numerobis
Interesting. Here is another review http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/cases_cooling/fractal_design_kelvin_s36_review/7 I would like to see a version with 140mm fans...
Scott Schroeder
Meh, silent water cooling is okay I guess. Leaf blowers are where it's at.
RyderSK
Interesting. Here is another review http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/cases_cooling/fractal_design_kelvin_s36_review/7 This thing is seriously silent, so much so that when we switched it on we were convinced the pump wasn't running and turned it off in what has to be said was a bit of a frantic stab at the power button. As it is though it romps home with a win Interesting to know they went with Alphacool to help them design the pump. So far, looks really worthy. I would like to see a version with 140mm fans... 3x140 sure would be nice :- ). I guess they perhaps went for compatibility for mass appeal, 360mm slim radiator will fit most cases dedicated to it (like their own ArcXL).
