Chris MacDonald
Tick "don't render on local machine" if you're using VRay distributed rendering.
aristocratic3d
Tick "don't render on local machine" if you're using VRay distributed rendering. Not sure how to do that/ what did you mean? I am using DR yes.
Chris MacDonald
Sorry, my mistake - it's "use local host" that you need to untick under the system/distributed rendering dialogue.
Scott Schroeder
I believe you have to be in Vray 3 to have this option. I can't remember if it was available before then.

Chris MacDonald
Ah. I will have to upgrade then. BTW, Mack, how do you add link to your signature? its not working for me. Also I noticed you dont show off work on your blog? whats the purpose to have it then? very curious. It's a personal blog, I work for a large firm and thus don't "own" the images I produce per se. I only share bits I've done on there when they have been released in the public realm, etc. That, and the reality of architecture is that not everybody gets to produce images of mountain chalets with moody skies, cosy interiors and someone walking a dog in the foreground. Sometimes you just have to produce a shitty Sketchup model to show what a shop front might look like, or a render of a standard, red brick, no frills house. So sadly, sometimes the work just isn't worth sharing. Edited January 13, 2015 by Macker
