Anyone use foot key pad?

I was watching a blues band and I noticed there was no bass player. The keyboard player was playing all the bass lines on organ pedals with his feet.

 

Anyone tried out foot pedals were you can do keystrokes with your feet to speed things up and to decrease repetitive hand movements? Seems like it has possibilities. It doesn't have to replace the mouse but just compliment it by doing common strokes/clicks.

It looks like there are different types - some are just plain black footswitches that are programmable for whatever

keystrokes you want. The well engineered ones are in the $100 plus range. If you play drums you're ahead of the game.

If you could do 2 buttons with each foot what would they be? Left click, right click, undo, enter?

that looks funny, but interesting, I am musician and a pedalboard effect is very useful on live shows. So I can imagine several possibilities.

For everything in my computer I use a wacom tablet, this one came with several programmable buttons and I use them to do click, right click, open apps and windows explorer and other stuff, so yes It may be worth try.

Not sure about the mouse feature thou.
