SgWRX
hello. i've been looking at my screen too long, trying to figure if i can make a repeating pattern of 6 different tiles, 100px by 400px (each tile size) to be layed out in a herringbone pattern. i just can't see it? see attached for example of layout. and by tileable, i mean a square or rectangular image that will repeat when tiled. thank you! Scott Dombrowski
I don't think this is tileable. You need to shift everything below the yellow line over and up one "stair step", so that the dark blue tile is to the left of the dark red tile, not below it. SgWRX
Thanks. You got me thinking... I noticed that the red steps up one every three or so... but when i did your suggestion, it looked like i got another step up in the other direction (green i think it was). anyway, low and behold i googled and found a 1:3 ratio tile and 1:4 ratio tile in this pattern, then used that as a template. the trick is to stick with equivalent of full length tiles in overall width and height. so my pattern ended up being only 800px x 800px. i should be able to double that with more variation. atiqursumon
Sorry for the late answer. I think so ratio tile in this pattern, then used that as a template.
