jodestroy
You can do it ..... first, you need to know what kind of light you use for your project... Here some examples in the web. Will you use flood light, narrow spot, fluorescent ??? You must know that before starting... http://www.lithonia.com/espanol/biblioteca/photometry/default.asp?Path=/American_Electric_Lighting http://www.lightolier.com/index.jsp?CATREL_ID=8589&CAT_ID=5322&BLK=Y&CAT_NAME=6%22+Aperture%2C+PAR38&PARREL_ID=8586&A=254&B=363&C=365 http://www.erco.com/news/en/en_frameset_news.htm http://www.iesna.org/manufacturers/ You can read the datas .ies file with your Notepad ( WINDOWS ) Never forget to do your model in real scale....ceiling , from 8 feet to more if a business place.... Download and Change your web parameters in the modifiers for your light. .... It works very well with radiosity..... Read about @IES Standard File Format@ and @Example of Photometric Data File@ in the HELP max user reference.... Never forget to use architectural material, flat paint tiles, metal, etc... have a nice day
Ricardo Eloy
To use advanced lighting, I advise you to read all the docs that come along with max to better understand what are IES and how to use radiosity. Max has a great documentation on it, very good reading.
