akbargherbal
Hello everyone, I have a question..... I would like to know how to align the normal of vertices in a certain direction... Have a look at the two images in the attachments: I think it has to to do with the Normal Edit modifier... But I would like to have a way to do it automatically (and quickly), like say to 3ds max, align all vertices normals to the Z world direction for example. Thanks a lot, Akbar Edited March 11, 2015 by akbargherbal
Francisco Penaloza
You can add a normal modifier, it should align faces flipped, also you could create a separated plane, change it to polygon then attach this new poly-mesh to your existing mesh, then you can delete this new poly-mesh. This usually fix most of mesh issues. From your viewport it seems you have double vertex in those corners, is not that one vertex is pointing in both directions. for a simple corner you should have only one vertex. You're wonderful...... your tip seems to work like magic! And you're right, I have a bad geometry to start with (many unwelded vertices)..... So let's see where that leads us to. Have a nice day (night) Sir. Akbar Edited March 12, 2015 by akbargherbal
