SgWRX Posted March 19, 2015 Share Posted March 19, 2015 hello, just wanted to double check my setup. i'm modeling an outdoor lamp post with a 14" glass globe as the top piece within witch resides the actual light. For this glass globe, I selected the sub-object and scaled it down as a copy 99%. so it's a thin globe. now, at this point, i have to reorient the normals so they point inward, then apply a "solid" transparent material. so there's two normal direction - the outer globe who's normals shoot out into space, and the inner globe who's normals go the opposite direction in towards the center. thanks, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
