heni30
It's amazing how much subtlety and nuance is conveyed in these using just mostly flat colors. A lot to be learned about composition, color, light and shadow. Just shows that the image needs to be in your brain beforehand, no matter what fancy software you're using. It could take off and become the new fad. Who'll be the first? Edited March 19, 2015 by heni30
Ernest Burden III
It could take off and become the new fad. Who'll be the first? How 'bout that guy? I've seen those before, was blown away by the skill in understatement. It is always a challenge to say more with fewer words or fewer lines. The look is just the current version of tempera/gouache, which has a rich history in architectural illustration.

Ernest Burden III
Ah, she. I'll go apologize in person next month. I'm still trying to remember what is masculine and what is feminine. Which would paintings be?

Ernest Burden III
oh COOL! I will be in Paris then, and staying not far from the gallery. It looks worth a peek. Thanks!
Ernest Burden III
Found it! What was interesting was that the name of the artist was not prominently displayed, she seems to prefer to go by her studio name, Cruschiform. The work is great. heni30
Great! Lucky you. I'll bet that show would be a big hit in the states........LA, NYC. etc. Know any gallery owners?
