SgWRX
just recently got Forest Pro and broke out my 2008 version of Onyx modelers, can't use the plugin due to age. anyway, really like it. i've been impressed at how Forest Pro handles huge poly count objects without even making mrproxies out of them. one big draw back with Onyx that i think others have pointed out, is that branches don't blend nicely with the trunk. the color variation you see in the attached sample came from photoshop, but i have used and enjoy the tint variation Forest Pro provides. one thing i found out from iToo is that color by map won't work with mrproxies and there's no "edge" mode except for vray users. in the end, a decent tree modeling program and scatter tool really helps! oh, i can use OnyxFlower to create grasses easily enough, like tall field grasses and what not. otherwise i use a free grass generator script to create lawns or overgrown stuff. again, forest pro really helps!
