Smile of Fury
We have a couple XBOX controllers for the PCs here in the office. Any recommendation for online games we can play together or against each other?
notamondayfan
Personally I find table tennis great, stop staring at monitors all day!
Smile of Fury
Yeah, you're probably right. We DO have a pool table that's getting dusty...

matthewhickey
Without any doubt in my mind, Halo (trial), the demo is free and it can play on any (for the most part) computer. The servers are still running and you can play online on the infamous Blood Gultch level, basically the only one anyone plays. For the most part, it's easy to pick up and play, but hard to put down, the multiplayer is amazing, and the trial is free! If they don't like FPS, table tennis is fine, but I don't think table tennis (by rockstar) runs on the PC. I'm a huge fan of ping pong, but I don't have my own table, and rockstar's game is the only one with decent controls. I've tried plenty of freeware games, and it's nowhere as intuitive as real life, ahhah. Let us know what you choose! have fun.
Smile of Fury
You had me at Halo. (un)fortunately, our workload has drastically increased since a few Fridays ago. We may try to have some fun in August at this rate.
philippelamoureux
The new Mortal Kombat X. Very violent but the kind of game fun to play with friends on the same screen.
Eliot Blenkarne
I just got GTA5 and play that in my downtime. That is one hell of a game, especially online. Bit expensive though!
philippelamoureux
I also bought it, awesome game! Worth every penny. I'm playing it at max settings on my gtx 980 :-))
Eliot Blenkarne
I've got a 970 - tried max settings but FPS dropped to around 40-50 during the benchmark test so I changed a couple minor bits and I'm back to 60FPS. That's the biggest difference to the PS3 version I have owned prior. Soooooo smooth! Hilarious fun.

siddharthkolte
For a workplace game you could go in for something along the lines where it helps teamwork like counter-strike or Age of empires or Call of Duty 4. Helps everybody to work with each other. If you want something for group fun to make people relax.(Very addicting should not be like everyday game, Affects productivity) Quake 3 Arena with Voosh Mod. This game is an overall mood improve if you find out that people are losing interest or you have some down time this is the best game to bring up the moral of the team. If you want an overall relaxing game like not much of fighting, you could go with Minecraft, being in Architectural visualization stuff, things might get super interesting... If it is not for the team but only you going to play, may be GTA or ElderScrollsOnline are good games to play on the PC with the controllers. philippelamoureux
Counter-strike, Call of duty...quake 3??? yes they're fun games but not on a couch with a gamepad... GTA is good, arcade games, sport games, racing games are much more appropriate for a small getaway in the afternoon. Age of empire...a age of empire game can last like 4 hours lol... Chris MacDonald
Call Of Duty. We've been playing it over the LAN since it came out (before that it was Delta Strike and Unreal Tournament). We have got to the point where we've had to rent a server. 18 players every lunchtime!
