jorgesanchez1
Hello, I would like to know if anyone here knows why my background is rendering black when viewed through shower glass. Please see attached image. When I turn off the glass it renders fine. Also mirror reflection comes out black. Thanks in advance.
Francisco Penaloza
can you explain a little how is your light setup and also that image in the background it is in the environment or is in a plane with self illuminated material?
Corey Beaulieu
If you are using the Environment overrides in the Render Setup are you copying your GI map into the Reflection slot as well? Also, what is your glass material Max Refraction Depth? seems like the shower could be reaching that limit and reporting black. There are several places to look for the solution, but these would be my first stops.
victoraguilar
Do you have glossy refractions switched on?
justinallbee
I get this sometimes when I am using glass materials on planes. What I do is just to a 180 with the plane so the "front" is facing towards the room. Sounds dumb, but always works for me.
