cwmdesign
Hey guys new vray user here, I built a scene and I theres one small moving object plus the camera moves and i found that sources online said to use IRMAPS + LC for this or BF+LC but I cant afford BF at the moment so im using the IRMAPS LC method. When rendering every now and then I crash but after restarting I find that after loading the IRR maps. It doesnt work as intended because the LC is stored in ram memory after the prepass. I followed this method and it worked but after like 20 or so frames It crashes, I think it might be a ram issue, I have some new ram in the mail anyway so I can test that out. http://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/VRAY3/Rendering+an+Animation+with+Moving+Objects+II so my thinking is I can just start the render back up using the IRR maps per frame and get going but the LC map as it was saved in ram memory im assuming is gone so i saved the LC file as well and then loaded it then and left LC as secondary engine but reading from the lC file and the irr reading the IRR files and everything else the same but once I render, it looks like im getting only the direct lighting and no secondary bounce. so as a temporary fix I restart and then do a prepass for a few frames then cancel and then start animation render and it works but my question is here, does the LC in single frame mode combine all the frames into one map OR does it use one map from one frame onto all the frames? what am i doing wrong here? I hope this makes sense. thanks guys
