andresmolgenicki
Hi everybody, I believe I have nice looking renderings, but no luck at all getting new clients. So, I am starting to think that maybe is a good idea to join forces with someone who has the same issue. My website is http://www.mwstudio3d.com Maybe we can work something out to get more clients! I hear your proposals!

RyderSK
maybe is a good idea to join forces with someone who has the same issue. Logic dictates that if you join forces with someone with same issue, you'll end up as a desperate team of two with same issue, but no solution. Hardly the best idea. To get work, you have to be reachable. People need to be able to find you(/your work) in some manner. Good start would be, to get clear, simple info of who you are, and what you do (in two or three sentences) and simple email contact to your website. Because right now, there is none of that outside of inconspicuous [click here to get help] button which urges you to give up contact in help-desk manner. If that doesn't turn client right away if they already stumbled upon your page, I don't know what else does. Edit: After second look, I noticed basic info is in your Spanish version, but why not in English mutation ? But same with contact formular, which albeit better then pure 'help-desk' in English one, still bad idea. Edited April 8, 2015 by RyderSK
TomasEsperanza
Hi MW, Nice work Perhaps you need someone who isn't as good at producing the images, but is better at drumming up business, that way you can both bring something different yet fundamental to the table. Yup, as described above, the English version of the website is fundamentally flawed, in that it doesn't offer the most basic and necessary information; a) who you are, b) what you do, and c) your contact details. However, given your South American location, I imagine that having a website only in Spanish is unlikely to be the most significant reason you are not getting enough inquiries. Still, you might as well type up an English version, (and maybe Portuguese too?!). Keep looking, I'm sure someone will be up for a collaboration. andresmolgenicki
Thanks everyone, i'll do those changes to my website. I certainly agree that i have to look for someone that isn't good enought at producing but best at businesses. This answers bring me to another question which is, where to find someone interested in conform a partnership with me, to be responsible and to be trustable? TomasEsperanza
Here are my ideas for you... I found a good work partnership by being really honest and upfront about my situation and my aspirations. I tried to demonstrate what I had to offer to a local practice, and over the past year we've become friends and allies. This has meant I have had to be critical, empathetic and respectful of both myself and them. We talked over possibilities as opportunities arose, and have created a personal workflow that is still developing, as we grow and understand our respective priorities. I did approach several other studios first, but I felt I did not click with them personally. This is really important to me - to work with like-minded individuals. Of course, they have to "have their shit together"! I mean too flaky and you're going nowhere. So you're looking for someone with potential, that you get on with, who respects your strengths, and can work with your weaknesses. Check out the other visualisers in your area, they don't have to be competitors, they could be your partners. Google, call, meet, chat, try working together. Eliot Blenkarne
Have you any experience writing a business plan? That was probably the best move I made in terms of helping move things along. Talk to a friend who may have experience in this situation. Know your market, know your client and be direct. Your website is not very helpful in that regard, in terms of the English language, as yet.
